ZHANG Qingqing 张清清Former Alumnae Board Member

Born in a poor family, ZHANG Qingqing has three siblings. Raising a large family is a heavy burden for her ordinary, rural family. To make ends meet, her parents worked so hard that they sacrificed their own health. Her father developed a severe illness a few years ago. Qingqing came across as an empathetic person with a warm heart. She loves her parents very much and studies very hard to assure them of her continued success.
Qingqing majors in Water Works and achieved a top 15% ranking in her major. “I love my major. I chose it by myself before college, I feel there is some special connection between me and water. I will further my studies and a hydraulicsian [sic] will be the best choice for me in the future.” Qingqing believes that volunteering should be an important element in life. This summer, she took part in the YanXing summer Inspirational Speech Tour. “I’m happy with a sense of self-actualization when I helped others. We can also learn and grow a lot when we do something meaningful.” Qingqing likes participating in activities. “Try what you haven’t experienced, challenge yourself with what you are afraid to do.” This motto is what she always follows in daily actions. Being a rational person, she likes deep thought and logical analysis. She has built the habit of reflecting on what she has done and how she can improve. |
