Growing up in a poor and illiterate family, Linyun knows very well her parents' yearning for an orthobiosis. Her grandparents are too old and the tuition fees for her brother are a big financial burden to the family. Luckily, she has never forgotten what her departed grandfather from her mother’s side told her: be kind and persevering at all times. Linyun has since begun her undergraduate education and in an effort to afford her daily life, has many part-time jobs, such as being a tutor, promotions agent, library assistant and so on. She is really grateful to her parents' encouragement of her pursuing a higher education now.
Linyun strives very hard in her studies and has earned a top-level award for major, the honor as merit student within the whole school, and now ranks in the top 10% of her specialty. She is fond of physics and mathematics and enjoys taking up special challenges. Last year, she participated in energy saving design competition, mathematical modeling competitions, and taken an engineering training for an entire month during summer vacation. These scientific competitions have really rekindled her interest in engineering. Linyun is also good at all kinds of sports like pingping, running, and tennis. Majoring in engineering is difficult for a girl, however Linyun has dreamed of being an outstanding aircraft engineer to help narrow the gap between China and developed countries. She loves volunteering and has found that joining the Yanxing China Community has been a huge blessing. She enjoys helping people in need. She now serves as minister for propaganda department in NUAA and editorial staff for Yanxing China Wechat public platform. During the summer, she was a speaker on the Yanxing summer inspirational speech volunteer tour visiting different schools in Henan province. In addition, she also devotes her free time to taking care of elderly people. She understands that it is hard to face loneliness and death, so what she wants to do is to create as much happiness as possible for the elderly. |
