Omair Azam

Omair has worked in international development for the past few years. He was previously based in Nigeria, where he managed immunization and economic development programs funded by the Gates Foundation and UK Aid, and is currently working in Singapore where he oversees projects to improve Civil Registration and Vital Statistics systems in the Philippines and Indonesia. Prior to working in international development, Omair worked in the pharmaceutical sector for a market research agency in Beijing, which is where Yin and he met and became running buddies; in December 2008 they ran the Hong Kong Disneyland Half Marathon together! With his extensive international experience, and bicultural background (British-Pakistani), Omair is happy to offer advice to mentees looking to study or work overseas and take advantage of international opportunities just as he has.
