LIU Jingjing 刘晶晶Biomedical Engineering

LIU Jingjing comes from a small town in Anhui Province. Her parents make a living from farming and small business in the town. Their family income is low and unstable, and they have an elderly grandmother and younger siblings to take care of. Despite these apparent hardships, her family is optimistic and live a happy life.
Since she was young, she witnessed her parents' hardships, so she tried her best to help them with work, doing stall cleaning, farm work, housework, and taking care of her sisters. In these experiences she gained a strong will. When she was in middle school, she got the admission notice of Beihang University through hard work in the small high school of her home county. After entering university, she still tried her best to adjust her mind despite the fact that her learning foundation was far behind that of her classmates. She studied hard and made progress though her performance was initially not so outstanding. She actively participated in various competitions and won good awards, participated in scientific research, explored science in innovation and laboratory and improved herself. She also endeavored to become a good teaching assistant to help teachers and students to connect and study, to participate in the student work such as work-study program, student club management and so on. Her progress, slow and steady as it has been, of both study and work helped her get closer to her dream. She feels so lucky to live such a rich campus life and continue to move forward towards her goal - to be a teacher or a researcher. |
