Jia comes from a town whose reputation is based on the production of bai jiu (Chinese rice liquor) in Sichuan province. Since high school, she has taken a great interest in scientific research especially biochemistry and held a strong passion towards how lives act on their own way. After a long time exploring, she found the best major to realize her desire to use biotech is Food Science and Engineering, where she may take all her passion into it.
During her time in school, she sets high standards for herself to balance the relationship between studies and extracurricular activities. In personal learning, she actively follows professors to do scientific experiments and maintains above-average academic performance in the natural science field. In terms of extracurricular activities, "receive love, deliver love, give love" has always been her principle. She takes part in many volunteer activities, such as going to Hunan province for a month as a volunteer teacher, and going to Guizhou Province to preach for ten days. Through food chemistry research, food quality and safety of many people can be ensured. She hopes to use her zeal and knowledge to make other people live in better lives and fulfill her own value. |
