GU Jiarou 顾佳柔Industrial Engineering

GU Jiarou is from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and majoring in industrial engineering.
She comes from a small mountainous town in Taizhou city, Zhejiang Province. She lived in the countryside surrounded by mountains, and enjoys climbing mountains with her family and friends in her spare time. Although she likes traveling very much, she has never taken an airplane. Coming to Nanjing for university is her first time "going out of the mountains", therefore, she has always dreamed of traveling to the outside world and yearns, not only for a bustling metropolis but also seeing other quiet villages and nature. Her family has four people: her parents, her little brother, and her. Her father is very knowledgeable in electricity, physics, and computers. Since childhood, she has learned a lot about electricity from her father, such as connecting and detecting circuits, welding, disassembling and assembling computer circuit boards. Her mother is a staff member at a company, where she works in the company's laboratory doing quality inspection, in whose office Jiarou has access to a lot of lab equipment and learns a lot of after-class physical and chemical knowledge. She has been exposed to these things since childhood, which made her greatly interested in science. Through years' of hard work in college, she has achieved good results. In the following study and life, she will continue to work hard, keep her passion for progress, maintain her courage to face difficulties, and make herself better. |
