DONG Yaqi is a small-town girl who traveled thousands of miles from home to study in Nanjing. Though she has a happy family, it is challenging for her parents to raise three children. Fortunately, she perservered through twelve years of hard study. At the age of 17, she stood out in the college entrance examination in order to pursue her dream of becoming a scientist. Also, due to her childhood experiences, she is more independent and determined than her peers, with her own ideas and pursuits. So far, she has made a decent start.
Nanjing Normal University is a stage for her to develop herself and shine, where she can enjoy her hobbies, especially experiments. She tries her best to prove to her teachers that she desires to design her own experiments and conduct them. In addition, she has strict demands on herself and is working hard for them, resulting in some awards and honors. Apart from academic performance, what she most wants to do is to participate in more kinds of volunteering. She believes that only in this way can she find the most suitable aspect in which her devotion may create a bigger effect. When it comes to her future, she firmly chooses to continue her study and research, not only for that she wants to do what she enjoys most, but also it’s time to do her part for the sustainable development of the earth. |
