Wenlu grew up in a large rural family and her parents were farmers. She has a sister, a younger brother and an elderly grandmother. Living in such a poor and illiterate family, she never felt that she was unlucky. Instead, she learned the virtues of hard work and persistence. This is also the motivation for her to study hard and aspire to do something.
She is now studying automation, and achieved a top 10% ranking in her major and highest grade within her section during her junior year. She has enjoyed maths and physics since childhood and has become even more passionate about her major. She likes digital circuits, analog circuits, signals and systems, and has achieved good results in these subjects. Her ambition is to be a senior engineer or a university professor and conduct research in frontier areas while instructing students to do projects in the future. Wenlu enjoys volunteering, having spent summers in remote mountains as a teacher and twice as a participant in Yanxing’s inspirational speech tour. At school, she often volunteers in the library to help her teachers organize books. “I've been feeling that the greatest help QZMS gave me is to be a woman with pursuit. If I had not meet the QZMS, I might have an easy life in my university four years, and then find an ordinary job or stay in my university for a master's degree, but now I really love learning, I want to go to a better school to continue my studies.” |
